ABOUT US

Who are we?
Incorporated in July 2010, The Regiment Support Service is a not-for-profit social enterprise that supports the British Army through the production and sale of the official regimental notebooks.

What are our objectives?

  • To provide regimental notebooks free of charge to all soldiers as part of the day's pay scheme.

  • To raise funds by selling regimental notebooks and other merchandise to the general public.

  • To donate all our profits to British regimental charities each year.

The regimental notebook acts as a reward to all soldiers who donate a day’s pay to the Regimental Association which helps serving and old soldiers who fall on hard times.  The regimental notebooks are also sold to the public as a way of raising extra funds for benevolence and welfare.

How do we do this?

We contact businesses and individuals and ask if they would like to help sponsor the production of the regimental notebooks. The amount of sponsorship is entirely at the discretion of the sponsor.  In appreciation a sponsor will receive a regimental certificate thanking them for their support which is signed by the Colonel of the Regiment or the Commander Household Cavalry.

How is the money spent?

The money raised through sponsorship is used to cover the cost of production of the regimental notebooks.  All proceeds from the sale of the notebooks are then donated to regimental charities chosen by an individual when he or she makes a purchase through the shop page on our website.

In addition, as a non-profit company any sponsorship money that remains at the end of our financial year is donated to the following regimental charities:

  • The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Aid Society (Charity number 259229)

  • The Household Cavalry Foundation (Charity number 1151869)

  • The Royal Welsh Regimental Welfare and Benevolence Foundation (Charity number 1166089)

  • The Royal Regiment of Scotland Regimental Trust (Charity number SC037563)

Since our incorporation we have donated £233,284 to British regimental charities
