One way in which to raise funds is through the production of a regimental diary. We are currently in the process of producing regimental diaries for the following regiments:
- The Household Cavalry
- The Royal Regiment of Scotland
- The Royal Welsh
- The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers
At the end of each year the diaries are given free to all soldiers who are currently serving at home and abroad in the various conflicts throughout the world. The diaries can also be sold to the general public as a way of raising the much needed funds for important regimental charities while also acting as reward to officers and soldiers who donate a days pay each year to the Regimental Association. These voluntary subscriptions provide help for serving and old soldiers who fall on hard times.
The regimental diary helps to promote the name of a regiment to the general public while also containing prestigious historical information which relates to a regiments achievements and accolades. The diary also serves as an excellent tool in which to educate people about regimental history and provides veterans and ex-service personnel with up to date information about their local association branch.
The diaries are funded by sponsorship from the business community throughout the United Kingdom. In return for sponsoring the diary a company will receive a regimental certificate signed by one of the trustees of the Regiment which they can display with pride in their office or place of business.
