Regiment Support Service Donates £36,000 to Support Four Proud Regiments

Regiment Support Service is proud to announce that it has donated a total of £36,000 to the charities of four distinguished British Army regiments.

The donations have been distributed as follows:

  • £13,000 to The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers

  • £13,000 to The Royal Regiment of Scotland

  • £5,000 to The Household Cavalry

  • £5,000 to The Royal Welsh

These funds will help support the charitable organisations associated with each regiment, enabling them to continue providing welfare, benevolence and practical assistance to serving soldiers, veterans and their families.

James Caddick, Managing Director of Regiment Support Service, said:

"We are incredibly proud to make these donations and to continue supporting The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, The Royal Regiment of Scotland, The Household Cavalry and The Royal Welsh. It is both an honour and a privilege to work alongside these outstanding regiments and their charities. We hope these funds will help them continue their invaluable work on behalf of serving personnel, veterans and their families.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our sponsors and supporters, to whom we extend our sincere thanks. With these latest donations, Regiment Support Service has now donated a total of £356,479 to British regimental charities since our incorporation, a milestone of which we are immensely proud."

Since its incorporation, Regiment Support Service has donated £356,479 to British regimental charities. Through its regimental diaries and notebooks initiative, the organisation has helped raise vital funds that directly support the welfare and benevolence of serving soldiers, veterans and their families across the United Kingdom.

What the Regiments Had to Say

The Royal Welsh

Mr Richard Tuffney, Assistant Regimental Secretary, RHQ The Royal Welsh, commented:

"The Royal Welsh Regimental Welfare and Benevolence Foundation is extremely grateful for the continued support of The Regiment Support Service through the regimental diaries and notebooks project. Their commitment and generosity over the years has provided valuable funding for the Regiment and its charitable work. To date, their support has contributed in excess of £70,000, and this year's further donation of £5,000 is greatly appreciated.

We thank Regiment Support Service for their longstanding dedication to supporting The Royal Welsh. Every penny received by The Royal Welsh is spent on the welfare and benevolence of serving soldiers and our veterans."

The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers

Colonel (Retired) J.W. Denny MBE, Regimental Secretary, RHQ The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, said:

"The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers sincerely appreciates the valued and ongoing support of The Regiment Support Service through the regimental diaries and notebooks initiative. Their continued commitment has generated important funding in support of the Regiment and its wider charitable objectives. We are extremely grateful for this year's generous donation of £13,000 and for the steadfast support they have shown over many years.

Over the last 12 years, The Regiment Support Service, through the regimental diaries and notebooks initiative, has raised £88,000 for the Fusiliers Welfare and Benevolence Charity, for which the Fusilier Charity is extremely grateful, particularly during these more challenging financial times.

The Regiment Support Service remains a greatly valued supporter of The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers."

Supporting Those Who Serve

The welfare charities of Britain's regiments provide essential support to serving soldiers, veterans and their families. Whether through financial assistance, welfare support or help during times of hardship, these charities make a real difference to the lives of those who have served our country.

Regiment Support Service remains committed to supporting these important causes and looks forward to continuing its partnership with regimental charities for many years to come.

We would like to thank every sponsor, supporter and customer who has helped make these donations possible. Their continued support enables us to raise vital funds for regimental charities and contribute to the welfare of those who have served and continue to serve our nation.

Together, we are helping to support those who serve, those who have served, and the families who stand beside them.
