RSS Proudly Donates £5,000 to Helping Homeless Veterans UK

ree

At RSS, we believe in supporting organisations that create real, meaningful change in the lives of those who need it most. Today, we are proud to announce our £5,000 donation to Helping Homeless Veterans UK, a remarkable charity dedicated to ensuring that no veteran is left without a safe place to call home.

A Charity Driven by Compassion and Action

Helping Homeless Veterans UK was founded in 2019 and became a registered charity less than two years later. Since then, they have grown into a crucial part of the veteran support network across the UK. Their mission is simple but deeply impactful: to ensure that those who once served our country are never forgotten, overlooked, or left behind.

What sets this charity apart is their unwavering commitment to action. Their team has significant frontline experience working with local authorities and navigating complex housing legislation to secure safe, stable accommodation for veterans in crisis. They don’t just advocate—they deliver results.

Even more impressively, the charity operates entirely through volunteers. No team member receives a salary, which means every donation is used solely to support veterans. This level of dedication reflects the charity’s values of integrity, service, and compassion.

Why RSS Chose to Support This Cause

At RSS, we recognise the immense sacrifices made by our veterans. Many return to civilian life facing challenges others may never fully see—housing instability, mental health difficulties, sudden crisis situations, and a lack of accessible support.

Helping Homeless Veterans UK bridges this gap. Their mission aligns closely with our belief in supporting organisations that uplift vulnerable individuals and make a lasting positive impact within the community. When we learned more about their volunteer-driven model and their hands-on approach, we knew we wanted to contribute to their efforts.

Our donation of £5,000 is intended to help the charity continue its vital work throughout the winter months—a time when support becomes even more crucial.

A Message From Helping Homeless Veterans UK

We were honoured to receive the following testimonial from Mr David Wood BCAv, Executive Trustee and Founder of Helping Homeless Veterans UK:

“The donation of £5000 could not have come at a more important time for our Charity as we head into the winter months. Because we are volunteer led with no wages being paid, this donation will be solely used for Helping Homeless Veterans and nothing else and we are extremely grateful.”

We are grateful to David and his dedicated team for the work they do every day to support veterans who have the courage to reach out for help.

A Continued Commitment to Making a Difference

Our donation is made possible through RSS’s ongoing campaign The Homeless Soldier Project. The Homeless Soldier project assists as many homeless veterans charities as it can ranging from the smaller more specific organisations that work on the front line to the larger charitable institutions that aim to reintegrate soldiers back into society.  It is the aim of the project to help make a difference by providing financial support to wherever it is needed most so that it can provide the best possible outcome to the individual homeless soldiers themselves.

We also encourage our community, partners, and readers to learn more about Helping Homeless Veterans UK and consider supporting their mission in whatever way they can. Whether through donations, raising awareness, or simply sharing their website, each action helps them change another veteran’s life for the better. Together, we can help ensure that no veteran faces homelessness alone.
